YouPay has partnered with HoMie, a clothing store based in Melbourne that donates 100% of its profits to the youth homelessness cause. The mission of HoMie is clear, and something that YouPay strives to achieve in its business acumen. By having HoMie on-board as a merchant, YouPay is hoping to give shoppers a reason to pay with purpose.

Starting in 2015, HoMie has experienced massive growth in its efforts to alleviate youth homelessness.  HoMie Co-Founder and Creative Director Marcus Crook says, “HoMie is a not-for-profit supporting young people affected by homelessness or hardship. At HoMie, we believe in young people and our aim is to empower young people to thrive.”

“100% of our profits go towards achieving our mission: to support young people affected by homelessness or hardship to equip them with the skills, confidence, and experiences to be more work-ready and better prepared for their future.”

YouPay’s effect on charities

The YouPay model is the perfect way to make charities more accessible. This can work in a variety of ways, one being charities having the ability to create shopping carts of necessary items for the charities’ cause, and sharing the link through their social media channels allowing members of their community to pay for certain items.

This was seen through the 2022 Brisbane Floods, where charities were able to create carts of necessary items for affected victims of the disaster, which got paid for by spades of people.

Paying with purpose is a part of why YouPay is so valuable to so many people, and why multiplayer shopping is showing no signs of slowing down any time soon.

Homelessness is an omnipresent issue negatively impacting the lives of many Australians. YouPay Valentines Day 2023 Promotion Terms & Conditions:

  • The ‘Promoter’ is YouPay Pty Ltd (ABN 70 644 120 990) of registered office address: 15b 10 Old Chatswood Road, Springwood QLD 4127, Australia. Promotion ends 16.10.22 at 2359 AEST.
  • Employees of the Promoter, their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition shall not be permitted to enter the promotion.
  • YouPay carts generated between 0900 AEST 30 January, 2023 and 2359 AEST 14 February receive entries into the Promotion.
  • The recipient of the prize is the person who created the YouPay cart, the ‘Shopper’.
  • For Shopper to receive an entry, the cart must be paid for.
  • The number of entries a Shopper receives is as follows:

  • The number of entries a Shopper accrues increases their likelihood of winning.
  • Winners are drawn randomly and there are no guarantees that a large number of entries will automatically win you a prize.
  • Prize winners will be drawn at automatically at 15b 10 Old Chatswood Road, Springwood QLD 4127.
  • Announcement of winners: Winners will be notified by email within 3 days of the prize draw. If a prize winner cannot be contacted or does not claim a prize within 28 days of the prize draw after multiple attempts of communication, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw the prize and allocate a new prize winner.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the Promoter’s control.
